Our DJ team offers planning tips to newly engaged couples and those planning their big day!
1. Be Present
You’re the guest of honor and your guests want to celebrate with YOU! If you’re on the dance floor, your guests will be as well. Conversely, if you leave the room for an extended period of time, the
energy is likely to leave with you.
2. You’ve Done Your Part… Now Trust
Try not to micromanage the timeline. Typically, wedding celebrations will not run exactly to the timeline… and that’s just fine. Our team will work with your venue and other vendors to manage those details.
3. Consider Your Guests
If you’ll have older guests, seating them near the DJs speakers, may not be the best idea.
4. When Thinking Floor Plan…
It is helpful to place your DJ in an easily visible place so there can be interaction between the
guests and the DJ.
5. Having A Bar, Photo Booth or Dessert Station?
Having those attractions in a separate event space, will take the crowd away. We love these additions, so perhaps place them in the main room where possible, to keep
people near the dance floor.
6. Song Selection
When choosing your songs, keep in mind that our DJ is skilled at finding the right “floor fillers” to create the energy you want. We encourage a balance of your “must plays”, “do not plays” and our curated crates of hit music.
7. Make It Yours!
We encourage you to customize your celebration to reflect YOU! Try a custom mash-up for your first dance or a trendy bouquet toss idea. Whatever you do, make it memorable!
8. Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
Sure, there are some important choices that you must make, however… being flexible on some of the
smaller details will help avoid stress.
9. Don’t Work Your Own Wedding
Once you’ve done the planning, it is important for you to allow the plans to develop on the big day. Remember… prior proper planning prevents poor results. Trust the choices you’ve made, the professional partners you’ve hired and enjoy your wedding!
At the heart of it all, your wedding day is about celebrating your love with the people who matter most. By focusing on being present, trusting your team of professionals, and remembering that perfection isn’t the goal... JOY is... you’ll create an atmosphere where memories come naturally. Dance, laugh, savor the little moments, and let the energy of the day carry you.
When you let go of stress and embrace the celebration, you’ll not only enjoy every moment, but your guests will too. That’s what makes a wedding unforgettable.
